About us

A woman is a country’s fate, do not put her life at stake. Restrict a woman’s growth, and you shall restrict a family’s growth. Women are important for revolutionary growth.

Who we are

The Women Welfare organization was founded by Alekhya Buragadda, a high school student. While she was working with Empolitics, she also began her research on gender inequality and the statistics that she found were really saddening and horrifying.

As we all know the great amount of gender disparity present all over the world. Where the literacy rates are so low when we compare it between the two genders. So many women across the globe face domestic violence. There are several women who are literally forced to live in abusive households as they are not financially independent and well educated so they don’t have the proper knowledge to fight for their right and well being.

The patriarchal society also hampers the psychological growth for these women. After seeing so much of harshness and struggles in their everyday life she advocated for these women and strives to educate them with both financial literacy as well as their will to leave their abusive homes freely. Our team expanded and we spread out in different regions to make sure we cover all possible areas and help as many children as possible.
